Associations Between Vaginal Angle and Pelvic Organ Prolapse: Exploration of a Possible New Screening Tool

This study aimed to investigate the association between vaginal angle measurements and the stage and predominant compartment of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) as a potential new screening tool. The findings indicated that vaginal angles, particularly during Valsalva maneuvers, were significantly correlated with POP stages and were notably higher in cases of posterior-predominant POP. The authors suggest that further research is needed to validate these associations and explore their clinical implications.
