Age and Urinary Retention in Women After Botox Treatment for Overactive Bladder

This study aimed to determine whether age over 70 years increases the risk of urinary retention following intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA treatment for overactive bladder in women. The findings revealed no significant difference in the rates of catheterization or postvoid residual volume between women aged 70 years or younger and those older than 70 years, suggesting that older age does not correlate with a higher risk of urinary retention after this treatment.
