Fixed-duration pirtobrutinib plus venetoclax-rituximab versus venetoclax-rituximab for patients with previously treated chronic lymphocytic leukaemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma (BRUIN CLL-322): an open-label, multicentre, randomised, controlled, phase 3 trial

Listen to this summary

This phase 3 trial aimed to evaluate whether the addition of pirtobrutinib to the standard venetoclax-rituximab (VR) regimen improves progression-free survival in patients with previously treated chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma. The results demonstrated that the combination of pirtobrutinib and VR (PVR) significantly improved progression-free survival compared to VR alone, suggesting that PVR could be a new standard of care for this patient population.
