Outcomes of Supra-Annular vs Intra-Annular Self-Expanding Valves in Valve-In-Valve Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

This study aimed to compare the echocardiographic and clinical outcomes of supra-annular self-expanding valves (SASEVs) versus intra-annular self-expanding valves (IASEVs) in valve-in-valve transcatheter aortic valve replacement (ViV-TAVR). The results indicated that both valve types yielded similar hemodynamic and clinical outcomes, with no significant differences in mortality or major adverse events, although there was a numerical trend suggesting higher event rates in the IASEV group. Overall, the findings support the use of both valve types in ViV-TAVR procedures.
