Trabectedin plus pegylated liposomal doxorubicin in recurrent ovarian carcinoma after poly-ADP-ribose polymerase inhibitors progression: A real-world single-center experience

The authors aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of trabectedin combined with pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) in patients with recurrent ovarian cancer who progressed after prior treatment with PARP inhibitors. In a retrospective study of 25 patients, they found a 24% objective response rate and a median progression-free survival of 7.9 months, suggesting that this combination therapy may be a viable treatment option for this specific patient population. The study highlights the need for further prospective research to optimize treatment sequencing following PARP inhibitor exposure.
