Rituximab versus Ocrelizumab in Newly Diagnosed Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis

Listen to this summary

The authors aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of rituximab and ocrelizumab in newly diagnosed patients with relapsing multiple sclerosis. In a phase 3 trial, they found that rituximab was noninferior to ocrelizumab in preventing new or enlarging lesions on MRI over 24 months, with similar rates of serious adverse events, although infections were more common in the rituximab group.
