Impact of patient neighborhood area deprivation index on prognostic factors and outcomes in endometrioid adenocarcinoma of the endometrium: a retrospective multi-center healthcare network analysis

Listen to this summary

The authors aimed to investigate the impact of neighborhood area deprivation index (ADI) on clinicopathologic features, stage at diagnosis, and outcomes in patients with endometrioid endometrial carcinoma (EEC). Their findings indicated that higher ADI was linked to a greater likelihood of being diagnosed at a more advanced stage and decreased progression-free survival, although overall survival was not significantly affected. The study highlights the need for further research to understand the underlying factors contributing to these disparities.
