Alpha-Linolenic Acid and Tarantula Cubensis Extract Attenuate Bladder Inflammation in Cyclophosphamide-Induced Cystitis: A Comparative Experimental Study

Listen to this summary

The authors aimed to determine whether alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and Tarantula cubensis extract (TCAE) provide greater protection against bladder inflammation than the current intravesical therapy, hyaluronic acid (HA), in a cyclophosphamide-induced cystitis model. Their findings indicate that both ALA and TCAE effectively reduced bladder injury, with ALA showing the most significant histological and antioxidative benefits. This suggests ALA as a promising candidate for further therapeutic exploration in treating bladder inflammation.
