Patient- and disease-related characteristics to anticipate segmental resection for isolated rectal endometriosis: a multicenter prospective study

The authors aimed to identify predictors for segmental resection in patients with isolated rectal endometriosis. Their multicenter study found that rectal nodule length on ultrasound and MRI circumference were significant factors associated with the need for segmental resection, suggesting these measurements should be routinely assessed preoperatively to guide surgical planning and patient counseling.
