Multicenter Assessment of Outcomes After Intended or Non-selective Transfer of Whole Chromosome and Segmental Aneuploid Embryos

The authors aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes of embryos classified as non-mosaic whole chromosome aneuploid (WCA) versus segmental aneuploid (SA) following preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A) in a multicenter study. They found that WCA embryos resulted in no live births and high rates of failed pregnancies, while SA embryos demonstrated a modest live birth rate of 17.1%, suggesting that segmental aneuploid embryos may have clinically meaningful potential compared to their whole chromosome counterparts.
