IVF outcomes and aneuploidy rates in BRCA pathogenic variant carriers undergoing preimplantation genetic testing

The authors aimed to evaluate IVF outcomes and aneuploidy rates in women with BRCA pathogenic variants undergoing preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) compared to those with other monogenic disorders. The study found that while ovarian response and IVF outcomes were similar between BRCA carriers and controls, aneuploidy rates were significantly lower in BRCA2 carriers compared to controls, while BRCA1 carriers showed comparable rates. These results suggest that BRCA pathogenic variants do not adversely affect reproductive outcomes, providing reassurance for BRCA carriers considering IVF.
