Monitoring ovarian reserve dynamics via a high-sensitivity anti-Müllerian hormone assay in premenopausal breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy

Listen to this summary

The study investigates whether an ultra-sensitive anti-Müllerian hormone (UD-AMH) assay can improve the assessment of ovarian dysfunction in premenopausal breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The findings indicate that low AMH levels before and at the end of chemotherapy are strong predictors of premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) one year post-treatment, suggesting that the UD-AMH assay is a valuable tool for early identification and management of fertility risks in this population.
