Photobiomodulation and pelvic floor training for genitourinary syndrome: RCT results

This study aimed to assess the effects of photobiomodulation (PBM) alone and in combination with pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) on pelvic floor function, sexual and urinary health, and quality of life in menopausal women with genitourinary syndrome. The results indicated that while there were no significant differences in pelvic floor muscle pressure, the combination of PFMT and active PBM led to significant improvements in sexual function and clinically meaningful enhancements in urinary function compared to the sham treatment.
