Assessing the burden of menopausal symptoms and their influence on women's quality of life

This study aimed to assess the prevalence and factors influencing impaired quality of life among Bangladeshi women experiencing menopause. The findings revealed that 27.5% of participants reported impaired quality of life, with vasomotor symptoms, particularly hot flushes, being the strongest predictor, especially during early postmenopause. The authors emphasize the need for routine symptom assessment and culturally tailored care to address the challenges faced by women during this transitional period.
