Long-Term Analysis of Patients With Ewing Sarcoma Included in the Euro-EWING99 Study

The Euro-EWING99 study aimed to analyze the characteristics and outcomes of patients with Ewing sarcoma (EWS) to identify prognostic factors influencing survival. With a cohort of 3,395 patients, the study found that overall survival and progression-free survival rates were significantly associated with metastatic status, patient age, tumor volume, and histologic response after neoadjuvant therapy. This research represents the largest series of EWS patients to date and underscores the importance of complete histologic response as a major prognostic indicator.
