Anti-rituximab antibodies: implications for clinical outcomes and safety in pediatric idiopathic nephrotic syndrome

The authors aimed to investigate the incidence and clinical implications of anti-rituximab antibodies (ARA) in pediatric patients with idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (INS) treated with rituximab. They found that ARA were present in 33.3% of patients, leading to higher relapse rates and increased risk of infusion-related reactions, particularly after multiple infusions. The study suggests that monitoring ARA could help identify patients at risk for treatment failure and inform personalized therapeutic approaches.
