Temporal comparison of clinical practice and outcomes in heart failure: the JROADHF and JROADHF-NEXT studies

This study aimed to evaluate the temporal changes in heart failure (HF) management and their impact on patient outcomes by comparing two large-scale Japanese HF registries from 2013 and 2019-21. The findings revealed significant improvements in guideline-recommended therapies and a marked reduction in one-year mortality and HF readmission rates, suggesting that advancements in pharmacotherapy and post-discharge care have positively influenced long-term outcomes for HF patients.
