Linear growth in pediatric kidney transplant recipients
Listen to this summary
This study aimed to evaluate post-transplant growth in pediatric kidney transplant recipients and its association with demographic and clinical factors. The findings indicated that mean height standard deviation scores improved significantly after transplantation, particularly in the first year, with the use of recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) linked to enhanced linear growth. Additionally, preemptive transplantation and parental height were identified as key factors associated with better growth outcomes.
