Coping Together: A Qualitative Exploration of Challenges Identified by Couples Living with Endometriosis

Listen to this summary

This study explores the coping experiences of couples where one partner has endometriosis, aiming to understand both individual perspectives and shared narratives in managing the condition. Through semi-structured interviews with 49 couples, the authors identified themes related to shared challenges and collaborative coping strategies, highlighting the importance of mutual support and psychological resilience in navigating the impacts of endometriosis. The findings suggest that a relational approach to care can enhance support for both patients and their partners, advocating for multidisciplinary psychosocial support programs.
