Preoperative Ultrasound Nomogram for Differentiating Polypoid Adenomyoma from Endometrial Polyps

The authors aimed to develop a preoperative ultrasound nomogram to differentiate between uterine polypoid adenomyoma (PA) and endometrial polyps (EP), as this distinction is crucial for optimal therapeutic decisions. By analyzing clinical and ultrasonographic characteristics from a cohort of patients, they identified key ultrasound parameters that significantly improved diagnostic accuracy, achieving an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.930. The study highlights the distinct features of PA and EP and suggests that the nomogram could enhance clinical management, though further validation in larger, multi-center studies is needed.
