Thoracoabdominal Cysts in the First Trimester as an Early Sonographic Sign of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia: A Case Series

The authors investigate whether first-trimester thoracoabdominal cysts can serve as early sonographic indicators of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). Through a case series of three patients, they demonstrate that these cysts, initially misidentified as benign, can evolve into CDH, highlighting the importance of recognizing this pattern for timely diagnosis and improved perinatal counseling.
