Effects of Pulsed Field Ablation for Pulmonary Vein Isolation on Vein of Marshall Electrograms

This study investigates how pulsed field ablation (PFA) for pulmonary vein isolation affects electrograms from the vein of Marshall (VoM) in patients. The findings indicate that VoM electrograms were either eliminated or reduced in a significant portion of patients, with the extent of alteration varying by PFA system and closely related to the distance between the PFA electrode and the VoM. Importantly, most changes in VoM electrograms were transient, highlighting the need for careful consideration of electrode positioning during PFA procedures.
