Minimum 5-Year Outcomes After Arthroscopic Subspine Decompression in Patients With Femoroacetabular Impingement: A Propensity-Matched Study

This study aims to evaluate the minimum 5-year patient-reported outcomes, survivorship, and rates of clinically meaningful improvement following arthroscopic subspine decompression (SSD) in patients with femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) and subspine impingement (SSI), compared to a matched cohort without SSD. The findings indicate that SSD leads to significant improvements in hip function and pain relief, with comparable outcomes and survivorship to patients undergoing FAI correction alone, thereby supporting the use of SSD in selected patients.
