Comparable Midterm Survival After Medial Meniscus Root Repair for High and Low Intraoperative Outerbridge Classification Grades

This study aimed to compare midterm survival and patient-reported outcomes (PROs) after medial meniscus posterior root repair (MMPRR) based on intraoperative Outerbridge classification grades. The results indicated that there were no significant differences in survival rates or clinical outcomes between patients with lower (grades 0-2) and higher (grades 3-4) chondral loss, suggesting that MMPRR is effective regardless of the severity of chondral damage. Overall, the findings support the continued use of MMPRR in patients with advanced chondral loss.
