Complications of Epithelium-Off Crosslinking for Keratoconus: A Single Institution Historical Experience

They found that while CXL has a low overall complication rate, persistent epithelial defects (PED) were significantly linked to the use of general anesthesia and preoperative corneal scarring, whereas corneal haze was associated with thicker baseline pachymetry and younger age.
