No-History IOL Power Calculation After Myopic Laser Vision Correction: A Multicenter Retrospective Database Study of 14 Formulas With and Without Posterior Corneal Curvature

The authors aimed to evaluate the accuracy of various intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation formulas in eyes that had previously undergone myopic laser vision correction (M-LVC). Their findings indicate that modern formulas, particularly those incorporating posterior corneal curvature (PCC), significantly outperform early-generation formulas, with K6 and EVO 2.0 showing the best accuracy, especially in extreme corneal shapes and shorter axial lengths. The study suggests that while modern formulas provide improved outcomes, the clinical significance may be minimal in typical post-M-LVC cases.
