Functional Vaginal Outcomes After Surgical and NonSurgical Management of Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser Syndrome

Listen to this summary

This study aimed to compare the functional vaginal outcomes of surgical versus nonsurgical management in patients with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome (MRKH) over a one-year follow-up period. The results indicated that both vaginal dilation and neovaginoplasty significantly increased vaginal length, with similar final measurements after one year, although surgical intervention showed greater early gains. The authors suggest that due to its lower invasiveness, vaginal dilation may be a suitable first-line treatment option for MRKH patients.
