Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor treatment in women with premature ovarian insufficiency: a pilot clinical study of biological activity and menstrual resumption

Listen to this summary

This pilot clinical study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) injections in improving ovarian function and menstrual resumption in women with premature ovarian insufficiency (POI). The results indicated that G-CSF treatment was associated with significant improvements in menopausal symptoms and menstrual resumption in 63.6% of participants, although changes in ovarian reserve markers were modest. The findings suggest potential biological activity of G-CSF, warranting further investigation in larger controlled trials.
