Metered-Dose Liquid Nitrogen Cryospray for Chronic Bronchitis: Results From the Prospective, Sham-Controlled Trial (SPRAY-CB)

The study aimed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of metered cryospray (MCS) treatment using the RejuvenAir® System in patients with chronic bronchitis associated with COPD. Results showed that MCS treatment significantly improved quality of life measures (SGRQ and CAT scores) and reduced severe acute exacerbation rates compared to the control group, while maintaining an acceptable safety profile. Overall, the findings suggest that MCS may be a beneficial therapeutic option for this patient population.
