Preoperative Medial Proximal Tibial Angle Does Not Influence Clinical Outcomes Following Mobile-Bearing Unicompartmental Knee Arthroplasty

This study aimed to determine whether the preoperative medial proximal tibial angle (MPTA) affects clinical outcomes after mobile-bearing medial unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) in patients with antero-medial osteoarthritis. The findings revealed that preoperative MPTA did not significantly influence clinical outcomes, as measured by the Oxford Knee Score, across different MPTA groups, suggesting that alignment strategies based on MPTA may not be necessary to optimize postoperative results.
