Practice Patterns and Performance of Pediatric Air Medical Tracheal Intubation: A National Multisite Cohort Study

This study aims to characterize the practice patterns and outcomes of pediatric air medical intubation across a national multisite cohort, addressing the gap in knowledge regarding national performance in this high-stakes area. Analyzing 1,040 intubation encounters, the authors found that while overall airway performance was favorable, infants under one year exhibited significantly lower success rates and higher rates of post-attempt physiological instability, indicating a need for targeted training and benchmarking among air medical services.
