Mid- to Long-term Outcomes of Coracoclavicular Ligament Reconstruction for Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocations: A Systematic Review of Studies With Minimum 5-Year Follow-up

The authors aimed to evaluate the mid- to long-term clinical and radiographic outcomes of coracoclavicular ligament reconstruction for acromioclavicular joint dislocations, specifically focusing on studies with a minimum 5-year follow-up. Their systematic review of 16 studies involving 326 patients revealed excellent functional outcomes, high patient satisfaction, and low recurrence and reoperation rates, regardless of the surgical approach used. Additionally, they noted that while complications such as ossification and arthritic changes occurred in some cases, overall outcomes remained favorable.
