Modified Postoperative Rehabilitation Including Dynamic Posterior Cruciate Ligament Brace to Reduce Recurrence of Posterior Tibial Translation After Posterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction: A Retrospective Comparative Cohort Study

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a modified rehabilitation (MR) protocol, which includes a dynamic posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) brace, compared to conventional rehabilitation (CR) in reducing posterior tibial translation (PTT) after double-bundle PCL reconstruction. The results indicated that the MR group experienced significantly lower PTT values at multiple postoperative time points and a tendency for improved patient-reported outcomes, suggesting that the MR approach may better protect the graft and enhance recovery without increasing complications.
