Aggressive Versus Conservative Blood Pressure Reduction in Acute Intracerebral Hemorrhage: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to determine the optimal blood pressure management strategy—aggressive versus conservative lowering—in patients with acute intracerebral hemorrhage. The findings indicated no significant differences in functional outcomes, mortality, or hematoma growth between the two strategies; however, aggressive blood pressure lowering was associated with fewer adverse events and suggested modest benefits for functional recovery in certain analyses.
