IL-10-neutralising autoantibodies in paediatric-onset inflammatory bowel disease

Listen to this summary

The authors aimed to determine the prevalence and clinical implications of IL-10-neutralising autoantibodies in a cohort of children with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). They found that these autoantibodies were present in 2.1% of patients, primarily those without known genetic causes for their IBD, and noted that the persistence of these autoantibodies varied with treatment, suggesting a potential need for tailored therapeutic approaches in this subgroup.
