Anti-Müllerian hormone promotes minichromosome maintenance protein expression and creatine metabolism in primate preantral follicles under hypoxia

Listen to this summary

This study investigates the role of Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) in promoting cell cycle progression and energy metabolism in granulosa cells of primate preantral follicles under hypoxic conditions. The authors found that AMH supplementation enhances the expression of minichromosome maintenance proteins and increases the secretion of creatine and related metabolites, which together support granulosa cell proliferation and function in a low-oxygen environment. The findings suggest that AMH may help mitigate the effects of hypoxia on follicular development by promoting cellular processes essential for growth.
