Academic EHR integration in family NP education: Student experiences and perceived benefits

Listen to this summary

This pilot study aimed to evaluate family nurse practitioner (FNP) students' experiences and perceived benefits of integrating academic electronic health records (aEHR) into their education. The findings revealed moderate satisfaction among students regarding their aEHR experience and indicated increased confidence in EHR navigation, although concerns about instructional guidance were noted. The authors suggest that while aEHR integration shows promise for enhancing student preparedness, further research is necessary to confirm its effectiveness.
