Coffee and Tea Intake, Dementia Risk, and Cognitive Function

The authors aimed to investigate the associations between coffee and tea intake and the risk of dementia and cognitive function. Their findings from a large prospective cohort study indicated that higher consumption of caffeinated coffee and tea was linked to a lower risk of dementia and improved cognitive function, particularly at moderate intake levels, while decaffeinated coffee showed no protective effects.
