Analysis of Educational Content on TikTok Regarding Antenatal Perineal Massage.

This cross-sectional study asked whether educational videos about antenatal perineal massage on TikTok (in Spanish, Portuguese, and English) provide reliable, high-quality information. Of 250 analyzed videos, 85.6% were rated "poor" or "very poor" using the DISCERN scale, and only about 38% followed the recommended start at 34 weeks of gestation. The authors conclude that the quality of health information on this topic is a concern and call for better digital health literacy and evidence-based content creation.
