Comparison of oral enalapril-hydrochlorothiazide and oral nifedipine in treating postpartum hypertension: An open label randomised controlled trial

This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of oral nifedipine versus a combination of enalapril-hydrochlorothiazide in managing postpartum hypertension. The results indicated that while both treatments achieved similar rates of sustained blood pressure control, the enalapril-hydrochlorothiazide combination resulted in significantly lower mean systolic and diastolic blood pressure and reduced the need for additional antihypertensive medications compared to nifedipine.
