Value of kinetic parameters of ultra-fast dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance inaging (MRI) for differentiating malignant and benign breast lesions: a retrospective study
Listen to this summary
The authors aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of kinetic parameters from ultra-fast dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (UF DCE-MRI) in distinguishing between benign and malignant breast lesions. Their retrospective study found that parameters such as maximum slope, area under the curve, and maximum peak of the curve effectively differentiated the two types of lesions, particularly in mass enhancement cases, while time to enhancement showed limited diagnostic efficacy. Overall, the study suggests that UF DCE-MRI kinetic parameters hold promise for improving breast lesion characterization.
