The authors aimed to investigate the association between hypotension burden calculated from electronic health record (EHR)-documented blood pressures and outcomes following pediatric cardiac arrest. Their findings indicate that a higher hypotension burden is linked to worse outcomes, and that hypotension burden estimates from EHR-documented blood pressures closely align with those derived from continuous high-resolution blood pressures. This suggests that EHR data can be effectively utilized to assess hypotension burden in this patient population.
