WNT-driven immune evasion promotes malignant transformation of BRAF-mutant colorectal cancer

Listen to this summary

The authors investigate the role of WNT pathway activation in the progression of BRAF-mutant colorectal cancer (CRC) and its impact on tumor-immune interactions. They find that WNT activation is essential for tumor initiation and promotes immune evasion by remodeling the tumor microenvironment, ultimately driving malignant transformation in this aggressive CRC subtype. These results suggest that targeting WNT signaling could be a promising therapeutic strategy for BRAF-mutant MSS CRC.
