Infrared Kinesiology Tape Increases Skin Temperature and Red Blood Cell Flux at Rest

Listen to this summary

This study aimed to investigate the effects of Thrive "Far Infrared" kinesiology tape on skin temperature and cutaneous blood flow in the unilateral erector spinae muscle. The results showed that the application of the tape significantly increased both skin temperature and red blood cell flux compared to the non-taped side, with effects persisting even after tape removal. However, the clinical significance of these findings remains uncertain.
