Multidomain Intervention for Growth in Term Small-for-Gestational-Age Infants: A Randomized Clinical Trial

This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a multidomain intervention package on the growth and neurodevelopment of term small-for-gestational-age (SGA) infants compared to usual care. The results indicated that the intervention significantly improved weight, weight-for-age z scores, and cognitive outcomes, while also reducing the prevalence of underweight, stunting, wasting, and anemia among the infants. Overall, the integrated intervention demonstrated beneficial effects on both physical growth and neurodevelopmental outcomes in this vulnerable population.
