Robotic gynecologic surgery in Saudi Arabia: a descriptive retrospective cohort study of contemporary second-decade perioperative outcomes

This study aims to evaluate the perioperative safety and clinical trends associated with adverse events in robotic gynecologic surgeries performed at a Saudi tertiary center over a two-year period. The findings indicate a high level of safety, with a 0% conversion rate to laparotomy and low complication rates, suggesting that robotic surgery is a reliable option even for patients with multiple comorbidities. The authors highlight exploratory associations between prior cesarean sections, blood loss, and operation duration as potential risk factors for perioperative events.
