Clinical Outcomes of Rotator Cuff Tear Repair in Patients ≤45 Years of Age: A Retrospective Analysis of 108 Patients

Listen to this summary

The study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes of full-thickness rotator cuff repair (RCR) in patients aged 45 years or younger, hypothesizing that RCR would significantly improve pain, strength, and clinical scores in this demographic. Results indicated that patients experienced substantial improvements in pain and function, with better outcomes associated with traumatic tears and shorter symptom duration prior to surgery. However, degenerative tears and manual labor occupations were linked to less favorable outcomes, highlighting the variability in recovery among younger patients.
