The authors aimed to compare the healing rates, patient-reported outcomes, and complications associated with screw versus suture bridge fixation for unstable medial femoral condyle osteochondritis dissecans lesions. Their findings indicated that both fixation methods resulted in similar union rates and patient outcomes, but suture bridge fixation was associated with longer implant retention and less severe secondary articular surface damage. Overall, the study suggests that suture bridge fixation may be a preferable option due to its reduced complications.
