Are Comparable Short-term Outcomes Between Hamstring and Quadriceps Tendon Autografts for ACL Reconstruction Statistically Robust? A Reverse Continuous Fragility Index Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials

The authors aimed to evaluate the statistical robustness of nonsignificant continuous outcomes reported in randomized controlled trials comparing hamstring tendon (HT) and quadriceps tendon (QT) autografts for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) using the reverse continuous fragility index (rCFI). Their analysis of eight trials involving 562 patients found that the nonsignificant outcomes demonstrated statistical robustness, supporting the conclusion that HT and QT autografts yield comparable short-term results in ACLR.
