A Modified LEEP Technique Employing Foley Catheter Traction: Feasibility and Technical Considerations

Listen to this summary

This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and technical considerations of a modified loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) that utilizes Foley catheter traction for improved cervical stabilization and specimen integrity. The findings suggest that this modified technique is feasible and leads to fewer instances of specimen fragmentation compared to the standard LEEP, although further prospective studies are needed to validate these results in clinical practice.
